This is an introduction to keyboarding that is to demonstrate mastery of touch keyboarding using correct keying techniques, including correct posture and finger placement. You will improve speed and accuracy in keyoarding by using appropriate drills. Emphasis of the class is placed on letters, numbers, symbols, numberic keypad, and basic word processing applications. One key factor to mastering keyboarding is good technique. We will just have fun learning these formats.
In the battle for attracting and retaining customers in the Information Age, it has become more important than ever to understand the power of Social Media as a marketing tool. Facebook offers many opportunities to meaningfully engage with your customers with timely and relevant content and to help personalize their relationship with you. We will also look at some live business FB pages and discuss what works or what does not.
Over the course of 2 sessions, we will transform common kitchen ingredients into beautiful handcrafted soap. On the first night, we will briefly discuss the science of soap making, safety tips, tools and ingredients. Then using a basic recipe we will combine vegetable oils and goat milk into a simple but luxurious soap the likes of which you will not find on the grocery store shelf. On the second night we will expand our repertoire by adding the color, scent, and/or exfoliant of your choice. Each participant will go home with serveral bars of soap.

Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice, a non-profit organization, is looking for hospice volunteers to provide companionship to patients and respite for family members. During training you will learn the history and philosophy of hospice, family dynamics, spirituality, communication, adult disease process and other end-of-life issues. Training includes both classroom time and online training. Volunteers are asked to make a 1-year commitment 2-4 hours per week.
