This course is designed to improvestudents’ reading and writing skills.
Students will practice close read-ing skills based on individual needs.
Beginning levels will work with shortnonfiction articles; the more advancedlevel will focus on a more in-depthstudy of literature. Sentence structure,paragraph writing, and essay writing will
also be addressed. Advanced stu-dents will practice essay writing using
material from their reading to supporta thesis.
